The role As key members of the broader C & B community, position utilise our suite of core enabling HR technology (Workday, ServiceNow case management, telephony, etc.) to execute a range of compensation activities, working closely with the global compensation team and reward partners. You will continuously identify and implement process and technology improvements to our way of working in HR and our interactions with partners.Overall our team’s objective is to design and deliver a leading-edge reward strategy supported by policies and practices to achieve AZ’s bold ambition. Team Accountabilities: To work as part of the team to establish the C & B team as a renowned CoE, through delivering consistently high quality data, data management and analytical insight. To proactively understand the various needs of the business, as identified globally, regionally and locally, and how these needs are met through provision of compensation and benefits. To understand the impact of current and evolving business needs on the support requirements from the Global C & B team in partnership with the HR community. To ensure that available cost efficiencies and benefits structuring are taken advantage of to maximise value. To monitor and provide input as to the overall cost efficiencies of the C & B COE, to maximise value to AZ and employees.Analytical & Reporting Accountabilities: Deliver high quality job analysis and evaluation, pay benchmarking, analysis of C & B surveys and annual salary budgeting data. Proactively identify and report on country adherence to global compensation and benefit requirements, identifying exceptions and training requirements. Work with the Reward Partners to monitor alignment with global requirements. Consistently develop the delivery of and reporting on the annual rewarding performance cycle (annual salary review, bonus and LTI awards) and all other C & B activity. Through the analysis of data and a strong understanding of industry dynamics (e.g. job market trends, legislative requirements), proactively identify issues (e.g. in retention or recruitment), explaining the underlying trends and issues. Review and continuously develop global reporting on all C & B activities (for example retention, base pay changes, recognition, allowance usage) working with relevant partners on all up and downstream impacts. Provide analytical support in respect of Global C & B plans, including triaging problems, escalating complex queries, and resolving and communicating routine queries. Administrative / Support Accountabilities Uses desk top publishing software to design more complex documents to deliver high impact information. Prepares documents, presentation materials and official information releases and distributes to required stakeholders. Plans, organises, and schedules own workload through system maintenance so that all activities are completed accurately and on time. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Data Handling / Analysis: Highly competent in handling large quantities of data and producing insights with a keen attention to detail and focus on data accuracy; Experienced in handling ambiguity and developing a structured way to deal with unusual challenges and issues; Thinks analytically and effectively problem solves using creative solutions. Compensation & Benefit Knowledge & Experience Experience of running cyclical compensation processes with a continuous improvement mindset; Understands compensation and performance management practices across different regions and the impact on the use of compensation data; Brings up to date knowledge of external C & B and performance management practices (local, regional, global) to the analysis of internal data, to challenge the AZ approach while acting as an expert resource providing advice and guidance; Understands legal and consultative frameworks across countries and the impact upon development of C & B practices; Has experience of different benefit provision, monitoring cost and financial impact of provision and competitiveness of package. Can projects future funding requirements and works with providers to maximum effectiveness of provision; Has been responsible for managing and maintaining reward policies, ensuring adherence with global policy, regulatory, legal and best practice competitive approaches in markets under purview; Experience of managing budgets required for delivery of reward programmes; Seen as an expert by the business in all matters relating to the reward offering, advising reward partners and HR teams on all issues HR Services Knowledge & Experience Understands common HR and service centre enabling technologies – e.g. case management, telephony and online user portals; Services minded with a “can do attitude” – dedicated to providing good service with a customer focus Develop an understanding of the external compensation and benefit environment, building a network of fellow professionals to extend your knowledge of practices across the market; Experience of delivering against Service Level agreements, including working with third party providers to meet work deadlines. Software / Other Experience Experience in Microsoft applications; Well-developed communication, organisation and interpersonal skills; Enjoys working as part of a lively and hard-working team, performing together to meet deadlines; Able to manage competing tasks efficiently and prioritise workload within a matrixed team environment.
