Wood Nuclear is recruiting a Project Engineer to be based within the Capital Projects Team in our Warsaw, Poland office supporting delivery of the 'Infrastructure' scope area. The Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager/Director and Technical Lead and is accountable for delivering the scope to cost and schedule safely under challenging conditions. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for delivery of a programme of work supporting a key client in Poland. The projects are multi-disciplined and typically range in value from ₠300,000 - ₠5M. The tasks contribute towards our key customer enabling Poland's operational infrastructure to be upgraded to support Poland's first operating Nuclear Power Station aspirations. This person will be recruited on a Wood local Polish contract. Responsibilities The Project Engineer is accountable for successful delivery of all aspects of the assigned projects through their complete lifecycle. Such responsibilities include but are not limited to; Establishing and executing safe and effective project delivery strategies covering estimating, procurement, project management and controls Bid management, scope definition, programme and estimate development Stakeholder management, both internally and externally in a challenging environment Commercially astute, preferably with experience of operating under Eastern European (Polish) commercial arrangements and nuances Ensuring resources are identified early and available both through internal sources and our partner organisations Appliance of and compliance with Wood governance, project controls practices including maintaining P6 schedule and monitoring the project baseline Identification, assessment and mitigations of key risks and opportunities Skills / Qualifications Substantial experience in infrastructure projects and programme APM/Prince 2 practitioner qualifications Technical degree or equivalent Knowledge/experience of Construction practices Experience in project front end delivery operations Experience of delivering multi-disciplined projects, Nuclear experience preferred Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Fluent Polish and English language skills Ability to work in a dynamic, challenging environment essential Seeks clarity from ambiguity Tenacity and resilience Knowledge of Polish Procurement Law an advantage What do you get?
