Wood Nuclear is recruiting a Project Planner to be based within the Capital Projects Team in our Warsaw, Poland office supporting delivery of the 'Infrastructure' scope area. The Project Planner works closely with the project team providing pro-active planning services. The projects are multi-disciplined and typically range in value from ₠300,000 - ₠5M. The tasks contribute towards our key customer enabling Poland's operational infrastructure to be upgraded to support Poland's first operating Nuclear Power Station aspirations. This person will be recruited on a Wood local Polish contract. Key Responsibilities Generation of detailed Primavera project execution schedules Obtaining and verifying progress updates from technical teams Progressing the project execution schedules against baselines Prepare project progress reports plan updates to the project manager Contribute to formal monthly progress reports to the project manager and client as required Prepare Earned Value reports, including identifying variance and corrective actions Provide the planning interface with client and delivery teams as required Take a proactive leadership role during project development, leading and / or facilitating project interactive planning sessions to fully integrate with delivery teams to provide best fit solutions to determine a logical approach to planning schedule backed up by engineering judgement To work within established Company policies and procedures. Promote Company values and standards and exhibit appropriate behaviour in accordance with Company ethos. To demonstrate safety, integrity & commitment at all times. Maintain excellent levels of communication throughout the team and the wider business. To undertake any other duties as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy client needs Skills / Qualifications P6 scheduling and progressing experience is a must Primavera P6 qualification desirable Experience planning and interfacing within a multi-discipline project team, preferably on design and technology projects Knowledge and experience of managing an integrated, resource loaded delivery schedule Knowledge and experience of reporting and controls against agreed baselines Hold an engineering, science, or related degree or equivalent Demonstrable experience of nuclear industry experience is an advantage Engineering background with a good understanding of several engineering disciplines desirable Good judgment of schedule, time & quality with ability to balance conflicting requirements in consultation with peers Ability to estimate scope of works Work and communicate with others at all levels Effectively present and discuss ideas and schedules Ability to interpret and produce Earned Value data and suggest appropriate correcting actions Give guidance on project planning and estimating including work breakdown structure and schedule improvement throughout the planning stages Commercial awareness a must, demonstrable commercial training desirable Should ideally hold APMP, PRINCE 2, or equivalent certificates What do you get?
