Located in Anderlecht, the Supply Chain Analytics Officer will support and enhance reporting and analytics for the Supply Department, which consists out of 2 departments: The Supply Center Operations & Planning Department and the Logistics Department. The first one is responsible for the planning of products supply from factories to our customers. This involves Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Requirement Planning towards European and Over-Seas factories and Distribution Planning through our European warehouse Network The Logistics Department consists out of a customs team, a network operations team and a Planning & Improvements team The targets of the Supply Center Division are threefold: Delivering a top delivery service to our customers, keeping our logistics cost under control and keep our inventory as low as possible. As a Analytics Officer you will work in close collaboration with the Business Analytics team responsible for all Sales and presales Reporting Projects within the Europe, Middle-East and Africa Region. Your function: After having acquired a working knowledge of the processes managed by the Supply Center team, and its reporting tools, you will develop yourself as a analytics key-user for the Supply Division. This involves providing training and first line support to the business users, related to the reporting tools, both in the headquarters as in the countries, keeping existing reports up-to- date with our continuously changing Supply Chain environment and make proposals for new reports to support speedy and qualitative decision making by our planners and management. Your analytical skills enable you to turn data into information, which can be used to improve our business performance You will be part of the corporate reporting team, located at the EMEA headquarters in Brussels. You will learn fast in Daikin’s dynamic, fast growing and international environment with a focus on delivering results. As the function requires a thorough understanding of supply chain processes of the Daikin Europe Group, it is useful to spend at least one day a week in our facilities in Ostend, where the Supply Chain team is located. Occasional travel abroad is part of the job. As an analytics key-user you will have a bridge function between the Supply Center Division and the IT department, being able to translate the business requirements towards the IT development team. You will be involved in pan-European projects, Supply Chain related or Corporate projects (e.g. SAP implementations) in which you will have to determine, together with the business owners, how existing Supply or Logistics reports have to be adapted or new reports created. You will be involved in developing and testing these reports and giving training to the business users. Your profile: Master degree in economics, IT or similar with proven experience. You have some years of experience in a planning or reporting or IT function in a company with a complex Supply Chain You possess strong analytical skills and like to work with figures You are accurate with an eye for the detail, while keeping an eye on the broader picture and target You have good communication skills and are a team player, but you can also work independently Advanced practical use of Excel is necessary Experience with Access and SAP BW or BO are an advantage as well as SQL, R or Python You’re not a fan of status quo, you’re continuously looking for improvements and out-of-the-box thinking Occasional traveling related to the projects that you will be involved or to capture requirements in different sales affiliates.
